SHILOH & DEREK
Romantic Maui Wedding
I met Derek and Shiloh at Sip Me in Makawao for the first time and knew from the start that their love was our setting. Our couple came to us from Oahu with family on Maui. The experience for me felt like working with Ohana. We got to know each other well in a short time. Congratulations, as they also welcomed a new baby girl last month.
They created a custom driftwood wedding arch in which Derek hung a sign he made that said, “Love be the journey” it was special and the perfect touch to bring everything together.
I was able to surprise the couple with all the florals as a gift from Mom & Dad. With four beautiful girls in tutu’s, we were able to create these unique floral cuffs for the 2 “flower girls” and floral bow ties for the 2 “ring bearers.” I love decorating driftwood arches with all the different branches to choose from, but the giant swing hanging by the reception was a fun piece too!
The beautiful ceremony setting of the driftwood arch in an open field with south Maui and ocean backdrop. When the father of the bride escorts Shiloh to the ceremony site in his vintage car, set off that classical romance vibe from the start, which was perfection. The intimate evening reception in Kula was shared with close family and friends at a long farm dining table under a large tree dripping with lights.
I love being a part of these romantic celebrations. Everyone relaxed under the giant chandelier hanging over their large family table. Jewel tone inspired, and it was a wonderful evening. It was like watching a romantic movie in person!
