Stephanie and Graham found me through word of mouth referrals from vendors that they had already hired. When we don’t already know each other, I love having a few video conferences and phone conversations with my couples before signing contracts to make sure we are a good fit. Having a real connection with my couples is everything to me, because mutual trust makes the wedding planning experience seamless!

I first met Stephanie & Graham in-person at their hair & makeup trial the day before their wedding at Jessica Waite Hair Studio in Haiku. (The H&M service is something I would recommend if you are doing a wedding where the sun might be a significant factor.) This meet-up gave us a great chance to get to know each other, and to answer any last-minute questions. With beach weddings like this one, I always like to talk through a few different options for the ceremony depending on how busy the beach ends up being.

On the wedding day, we started in Wailea at the couple's condo for hair & makeup, and getting ready photos with Jill & Gordon of Meew Meew Studios. I enjoy the intimate moments before the actual wedding and love to observe the exchange of emotions between the couple and their loved ones.

We were fortunate to have only a few people at the beach that day. I'm one for NEVER disturbing people that are already there. It's a public beach, and we do what we can. But the people on the beach were so friendly to us when we showed up that they asked where we were setting up and then moved a bit away from us and watched and cheered on as Stephanie & Graham got married.

It was a beautiful clear day and we had a perfect ceremony for Stephanie & Graham. Jessica and I stood by to make sure everything went as planned, while Jill & Gordon made magic with their cameras. After the ceremony and a fun photo session on the beach, Stephanie, Graham and their wedding party finished their celebration with dinner at the beautiful Four Seasons Maui.
